Understanding Impressions: How We Count Them & What Happens If You Run Out
How does Nudgify pricing work?
Our pricing is based on the total number of Monthly Nudge Impressions included in your plan. Unlike visitor counts, impressions are event-based and record every time a Nudge is displayed to a user.
How exactly are Impressions counted?
An impression is counted every single time a Nudge "fires" or appears on a screen.
- One Nudge appearance equals one impression.
- It captures everything: This includes when a Nudge appears on different pages, during page reloads, or through specific user interactions.
- If a single visitor browses your site and sees 10 Nudges during their session, that counts as 10 impressions toward your monthly limit.
What happens if I reach my plan limit?
If you use up all your impressions for the month, your Nudges will simply pause and stop appearing on your site. They will automatically start showing again when your new billing cycle begins.
- No Surprise Bills: We will never upgrade you automatically or charge you overage fees.
- We keep you in the loop: We’ll send you an email notification before you hit your limit so you can decide if you want to upgrade or manage your settings.
I’m out of impressions but not ready to upgrade. What can I do?
If you aren't ready to move to a larger monthly plan, you can purchase an Impression Boost. A Boost is a one-off purchase of extra credits. Unlike your monthly plan allowance, Boost credits never expire. They are ideal if you have a seasonal spike in traffic or just need a little extra room to get through the month.
Do unused Impressions roll over to the next month?
It depends on where the credits came from:
- Monthly Plan Credits: No. These reset every month. If you don't use them, they do not carry over.
- Boost Credits: Yes. Boost credits are valid for an unlimited amount of time. They will roll over month after month until they are all used up.
Is Nudgify useful if I have low website traffic?
Absolutely. In fact, Nudges can be even more important for newer stores because they help build trust with the few visitors you do have.
- Review Nudges: Show off 5-star feedback from Trustpilot or Google to prove your quality.
- Custom Nudges: Use them to guide users ("Free shipping on orders over $50") or give reassurance ("Best price guaranteed").
- FOMO Nudges: Create urgency ("Sale ends in 2 hours") to encourage immediate purchases.
