Do I need to mention Nudgify in my Privacy Policy?
Note: We are tech experts, not lawyers. This is our best judgment based on industry standards, but we always recommend consulting your own legal advisor for specific compliance questions.
Because Nudgify collects visitor data to function (such as view counts, approximate locations, or first names for "Recent Purchase" Nudges), transparency is key. We highly recommend informing your visitors that you use third-party tools to improve their experience.
To make this easy, we have prepared a standard clause you can simply copy and paste into your current Privacy Policy.
Suggested Text to Add
You can include the following paragraph to explain how data is collected and how your customers can opt out:
"We use Nudgify.com, a marketing tool which may collect non-identifiable information about your website visitors in order to personalize their browsing experience or to provide social proof and stock prediction messages. Nudgify uses cookies to track visits and browser data to collect this information.
You can view Nudgify’s full privacy policy. You can also opt out of some of Nudgify’s services by visiting the Digital Advertising Alliance’s opt-out portal at https://optout.aboutads.info/."
